Research is the most important step of successful web design. We begin each project by gathering information about our client. Once we understand our client's existing marketing strategies, corporate identity, goals, target audience, and competitors - we then can outline an appropriate online strategy. We do a lot of scribbling around here: rough outlining ensures that the client won't be locked into a design without full exploration of other alternatives. That strategy is developed into a layout and design concept, which serves as a blueprint for the website construction process.

If a web site is hard to navigate, monotonous in presentation, or difficult to understand, people will find another way to get the information, product, or service you offer. By incorporating navigational tools and intuitive flow, users always know where they are, and how to get to other destinations in the site.

The biggest challenge of web design is the limited bandwidth of the Internet. A slow site is bad customer service, and the number one complaint among web users. We use advanced software and graphic formatting techniques to color reduce and compress all of the images we put on the web. This extra effort maintains image quality while substantially decreasing file size.

We work closely with our clients developing the strategies and concepts that provide the framework for their Internet presence. This helps create a site consistent with our clients' existing corporate image and project the same level of distinction and service their customers have come to expect.
